Recruiters are unprofessional and lack communication skills

After applying for a job, I was asked to come in for an interview and a test. After coming in, I never heard again from the recruiter even though right after the test, the recruiter told me that I only had one wrong answer on the test and that she needed to send the results in and will let me know if the hiring company wanted to interview me. She never got back to me, no even after sending her a follow-up email ten days later and a voicemail five days after the email — a total waste of my time. I am sure that that is the norm in that place since they don't have an area on their website for the recruiters to be review or experiences with the company to be shared. I'm sure that they don't care, that they know people are going to keep coming to apply and they will continue to throw people at a job until someone sticks.

Not really good ,

I applied 2 3 jobs that fit for my role since 1 month . And tried to contact the recruiter by E mail and I called many times at Aerotek staffing agency . After all that o didn't receive any information about my application. Not even like my application is not go through what ever . I’m really upset with this kind behavior. If you guys don’t reply why you ask for job posting online

Poor customer service

Worst staffing company with unprofessional employees.

I have been visiting the Aerotek website daily for more than 15 months now and I have sent them over 500 applications now for various different positions. I have more than 8 years of professional engineering experience and an MS degree to strengthen my credibility to get a job. I have always been flexible when it comes to relocation for a job. Even after being so flexible, highly experienced and skilled, and after so many applications, I was contacted by Aerotek recruiters only on 3 occasions in the span of 15 months. The first time I was contacted was by a recruiter in San Jose, CA after almost 150 applications to various positions. The recruiter called me to the office(although, it could have been done via a phone call) and all she did was discuss my experience and my resume that I had submitted for a specific role. After the discussion was over, she mentioned she would be submitting me for that position and would contact me for other relevant positions in the future. This was is August 2018, and I haven't heard from her ever since. The second time I was contacted by a recruiter was for a position in Foster City, CA(after almost 350 applications). The position was well below my experience level but I still applied for it because I desperately needed a job. Again, I was about to be called to the office, but I mentioned that I had already visited an Aerotek office in the past and luckily the recruiter had a phone and video interaction with me for that role. After a couple of weeks, I was told that I did not get the job because they hired someone else(this happened without the client interviewing me or Aerotek letting me know what exactly happened, even when I was exceeding the job requirements) The third time I was contacted by a recruiter was for a position in Milpitas, CA. The recruiter had submitted my application to the client and after almost two weeks of me following up regularly I was told that the company's manager hired someone else with better qualifications(although I met 95% of the requirements). I was upset, but at least I was happy to receive a firm rejection instead of being kept hanging. The next day as usual, I decided to visit the Aerotek website for job postings, and I saw the same job re-posted but this time by a different recruiter. After almost 2-3 weeks, the same job has been posted again by my previous recruiter. I am unable to understand that if the job was already closed and another candidate was hired then why is the job posting open. If the hired person did not accept the offer or left for some reason, why wasn't I contacted as the second best candidate for the role to fill up that position. If I wasnt the second best candidate and there was someone else better than me, then the job should have been given to him/her instead of being re-posted twice after me being rejected. I have trust issues with Aerotek since then and I have stopped applying to Aerotek's postings. They are really unprofessional especially for such a big staffing company. You should consider yourself lucky if an Aerotek recruiter actually takes the effort to pick up the phone, talk to you and tries hard to get you that job. Also, I do not trust them. I would rather be rejected for a real reason, so I could learn from my failure and develop myself, instead of being kept hanging and then getting rejected without an interview. Trust me but all the blogs you must have read on the internet about how you connect with a recruiter, bond with them, thank them after the interview, they don't apply to Aerotek's recruiters. They don't deserve your compassion or gratefulness because they don't care about you getting a job. And by the way, this is not just Aerotek. Its subsidiaries like Easi and Tek Systems are nothing better. I am sure the company specifically hires such unprofessional recruiters so that they maintain the same low standard of recruiters throughout their organization. I request all of you who are reading this review to kindly save your time from applying to their positions. All the good reviews that you see are mostly internal and not from job-seeking candidates. I am not sure how this company is running if they are so incompetent with their professionalism. Every time I was rejected, I was told they will keep me posted for future opportunities, but I was never contacted.

Aerotek Does Not Care

I was looking for a job online and did a search for a temp agency and Aerotek came up I found a job I was very interested in and it was close to my house a perfect fit, I tried to register on line going through their process I got all the way to the end after putting in all of the information that they asked for and the system stalled or froze on their end, when I called and told them they did not seem to concerned. I got an appointment to see a recruiter took the time to go to an interview he talked me out of applying for the job saying he had something better in mine and to give him a day or to to get back to me...days later nothing...I sent an e-mail and left a voice mail.....days later nothing.....called left another message and e-mail..... days later nothing...I called the office number and the recruiter answered the phone and seemed caught off guard that it was me...he made multiple excuses as to why he never got back to me....then promises that he will get back to me on Monday after the weekend.......and nothing....Now I have to figure out if the job he talked me out of is still available after keeping me waiting for a week. THANKS FOR NOTHING AEROTEK!!!!!!

#1707569

I was called to Aerotek 3 times for a job they had that matched my resume-when I got there the person who had called my house was not even there by that name and I was told ohhh you must have misunderstood-okay I drove here for nothing again- but this is typical of L.I. very strange people. Stay away from this place its a waste of time and I don't think these jobs even exist they say they get.

Unresponsive

My recruiter contacted me to let me know our contracts with the company would be ending soon. He also stated he would give me a call tomorrow and I never received a call. I then sent him an email later that day and he aplogized and said he was in a meeting and he would call me on my lunch the next day... next day comes and i take a lunch thinking i would speak with him.. NOTHING. I sent him NUMEROUS emails stating i was still waiting to speak with him. NOTHING. One of my coworkers has the same recruiter as me and he emailed her today... I sent him an email 2 minutes later and i am STILL being ignored

Lack of communication, poor job placement

Constantly have to follow-up on my end to get information from recruiter. Communication is poor at best. Sometimes it takes days for my recruiter to reply. Nothing in my resume' was applied to any jobs that should have been available to me.

If you are a Nurse watch out for Aerotek and other headhunters

I went through 3 interviews was told I am the best most qualified candidate and was given a start date. Then NOTHING. Aerotek will not return my calls. I was told by Aerotek they spoke with a former supervisor (they even named her) who gave glowing reviews. So what went wrong?! Am I too old, My criminal is clean as I just got a new multi-state license. I don't handle money or do direct pt care so there should be no financial issues... I asked Aerotek in writing for a copy of any and all references and credit or background checks. Next route is the attorney...

Ok, so I recently applied for a Position through Aerotek and an agent/Jordan, called immediately the next day. I politely walked away from my desk, because I was still at work to answer all questions of the position; phone call lasted about 15 to 20 minutes.

Well the next day, I receive an email from a different agent/Mark, on the position I had already applied for. I responded back to the email of course, within hours, Mark calls. Mind you, I am at work, but this time, I stayed at my desk. Mark continued to speak and after careful listening, I noticed he was asking the very exact questions Jordan, had asked previously.

I cut Mark off and stated; Look, I have been asked the same questions by another agent/Jordan and if there's anything you need to know, I suugest you speak with your co-worker. I SMELL A DAMN RAT

I was did the same way

It is not only this agency. All temp agencies are doing this. They need to be more regulated than they are. They know that we need jobs and they may work you one day and you may have to wait a week before you work again. I had 10 days left before I was full time. I woke up one day saying I was no longer needed. I was the third person at this place in 1 month that this was done to. Angry
