I took a temp to hire job with Aerotek, I was told I had to work whatever the hours were or not take the job. Turned out to be 70 hours at 12 hour days 6 days a week.

I got injured on the job due to another employees not following procedure, the next day I was put on light duty and Aerotek fired me on the spot. Now a year later I am still fighting their insurance carrier who refuses to allow me to go to a doctor for followup unless I contact the state industrial commission, each request to see a doctor takes at least 6 months to get permission and endless threats from the state.

Bottom line they are bottom feeders, they lie, and will not honor a contract unless you threaten to quit or take it to the client, I have done both and when you do they tow the line. Knowing who and what they are going in is like using lube, it doesn't hurt near as bad when they stick it to you.

Is anyone here from Colorado? Aerotek Denver told me I had a job to start on a specific date, I completed all the paperwork for the job (I-9, W-4, safety agreements, etc.), given employee manuals for Aerotek and the company I was assigned to (I interviewed with them...

Aerotek Denver is the worst possible staffing agency. They only want your money and they never find you a job.

I was called today by a guy named Daniel Riskey. He was kind of short with me when he asked about my job history. He said this job would be about 15-18 per hour. I am not complaining yet..lol. I just want someone to post something that is from Texas and had a bad...

If your term is shortened and is less than what Aerotek says, that is the company that you are working fors fault! Why would Aerotek shorten a position?!

The company is the one paying the bills, not the person that is on contract. It is in Aerotek's best interest to get the best people the job so that the company (client) they are working for is happy.

Aerotek does not create jobs, they fill jobs that other companies have.

I applied to a job Aerotek in the Schaumburg area posted as being open. They made an apppointment for me to come in for an interview -- kept me waiting over an hour in the waiting room to meet with someone. Said that they would call in a few days after checking my...

When they wanted me for a 3D position that was a very tough fit in Richmond I couldn't get rid of these used car salesmen. Now that they get almost as much from it as I do I can't get a soul to contact me after multiple tries.

Have had three case managers come and go in 5 months only meeting the first. Aerotek told me it was a 6 month contract but just told the company that contracted me it was for 9.

WOW! Run away.

Um, how did you know they went to lunch? Are you guessing? I seriously doubt they had a voice mail that said "We're out to lunch".

I was recruited By Aerotek in Jacksonville FL to do a 6 month contract job. The job was in my college degree field, so I was very interested. The recruiter ,who was about a 25 year old frat boy, was very persistent and worked very hard to get me on this job....

Man I had the SAME issue w/ them too!!! Also when it came down to looking for a job close to home in a 30 mile area.....

GET THIS..... I live in Orange Park so they decide to place me all the way in St. Augustine past the beaches... After my interview I logged in the their database and found 3 jobs in Jax 20 miles away for my home and I had the same credentials they were looking for.

I called/E-mailed.... You and I may have been the main office when they pulled this *** on you.

My questions might sound weird, but here it goes. I had an interview at the Aerotek office yesterday. After that, I waited in a room for all other interviews that needed to be done that day. The people that made the cut, had to fill out a bunch of paperwork, like personal info, W-4, direct deposit info, etc. Then, right from there I had to take a drug test. I was told I would be called today to be given a time to meet at the company I will be "working" for an orientation tomorrow. I still have not been told that I have the job. I ASSume, that they are waiting for drug test and background results.

Do they normally have you go through all of this process before knowing that they are going to hire you?

Once hired, do I work for Aerotek or the company I will actually be doing work for? Who will my employer be? I received papers on benefits, but it was from Aerotek. When I tried to ask questions, he just said, we will talk about all of that later...and never did.

Is there a probation period, then I will work for the company I am actually doing work for? I really need this job, but I want to know what to expect. The ad said that the starting salary was $10.00 an hour, but yesterday, she said it just changed to $11.00. Everything is sounding too good to be true and going really fast. I will say, I am the one that made follow up calls to get the interview, they did not return phone calls. I am not complaining, just throwing it out there, that if YOU want it, YOU have to go get it.

What are some good questions that I should ask tomorrow at the orientation?

Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions..

Aerotek

Aerotek in Cleveland, Ohio. I took a position through this staffing agency in the winter of 2010, the pay was below average but in this economy you do what you have to do. (1) They lied about the position I applied for. It end up being an entry level seasonal position on 2nd and 3rd. Not the team leader 1st shift advertised and promised. (2) Every pay check was 2 weeks late!! and direct deposit never happened. (3) Every time I call or went to the Cleveland office to try and fix things the rep was rude and vulgar with me. (4) When I did call to give notice of quitting I was threatened with never working in the state of Ohio ever again. (5) Last Paycheck was never paid and I am now filing in small claims court. You're better off working at your local MC D's, at least you'll get paid and fed.

Ocatvio, come on buddy...you are a bitter ex-employee.I'm sure if beer was flowing at Aerotek you sure did not turn it down. I've worked for Aerotek for 10 years and have never seen any beer or alcohol in the office.

Also, we have the best payroll dept.

in the business. Hey, Ocatvio, I'll swing by Taco Bell and visit you some time.Pissant.

I was a internal employee there, and i saw how they operate and they are horrible!! about the missing checks and direct deposit is totally true, they have poorly trained and skilled people taking care of peoples checks and money, and they messed them up all the time, and yes the dont care about it.

To be honest what can you expect of a company that eveybody starts drinking beer at 12pm on Friday?? I definetely will never use aerotek becsaue i worked there and i know what it is.
