Left a job at 50 plus hours a week for Aerotek. Grace is totally clueless. She told me the job was for 12 hours a day at 7 days a week for 2 months. That would be $1,000.00 a week after taxes. That equals $8,000.00 for 2 months. She asked me to leave my company early...

I received a call from an Aerotech headhunter for a great opportunity to work for a "new up-and-coming company". It sounded like a perfect fit. My skill set seemed a perfect match. After a few months in, I sadly learned that the headhunter was just as shadey as the...

I just went through a similar situation with Aerotek here in Omaha, NE. I had a good job but, had safety concerns due to an increase in crimes in the industry.

I was easily coaxed and deceived into quitting my job to accept a 6-week temporary position with the promise to find me a permanent position before the temporary assignment ended.

Long story short, here I sit a week before Christmas with no work. I call Aerotek and talked to Dean who tells me they don't have anything for me right now, "it's just that time of year." As if you didn't realize it was "that time of year" a few weeks ago when we made the arrangement.

Yep, I have heard this complaint about them again and again. It is time people took action.

Contact the Labor Board, the BBB, the Consumer Protection Division of your state's Attorney General's office.

You could even contact a consumer investigative reporter with your local news station and they will investigate and air the story on tv and online. Be sure to write a review on glassdoor, so as to warn potential job seekers.

I was signed on to Aerotek Nov. 2015 through Jan. 2016. I had been previously working a long term temp job for 2+ years that was ending, and my temp employer allowed an Aerotek recruiter to solicit us soon to be jobless people. I was immediately sent on an interview...

I started working for Aerotek in 2017, and for a crazy reason my HR person said it was because of accuracy, which i was never told could or would be a issue?? Plus they work you to death, without prior notice at all, and expect you to be there no matter what, even with...

Aerotek - Very lackluster at least

Applied for jobs and never got feedback from recruiters. I was very qualified but only git answers after I called and emailed numerous times only to be told they weren't moving forward with me for the position. Maybe they should have more qualified people to interview prospects I don't know. I believe this is a culture at aerotek they never call back especially Ann Arbor!

Aerotek Elkridge Maryland the worst

Assistance is poor from this Elkridge office and follow-up is also non-existant and my recruiter was John Crosby there was no kind of communication. The only communication there was when I submitted a survey online. When they placed me on the job they said the training would be 2 weeks when we got there they indicated training is only 1 week. The company I was temping for the superior were the worse no communication either. I worked there for like 9 months and Aerotek calls me to tell me they ended my assignment because of performance. Hello they only gave me one review and that was in Feb.

Not sure what you're talking about. John Crosby is in constant communication with me.

Even after he and I failed after the first couple of positions I was interested in, he continued to search for positions relating to my experience. We eventually found one, and I am currently contracted with Rhode and Schwarz. I thoroughly enjoy working for this company, and I expressed that to John Crosby. John took it upon himself to follow up with his manager and seek out new positions in the company.

I am now under consideration for an interview for a contract-to-hire position, and thanks to my performance, my supervisor has put in good words for me. John is doing a lot of work on his part to satisfy my career interests.

Staffing agencies are great for building a network - getting your name out there.

Now, this will work against you if you are consistently being unreliable, not being productive, not performing, etc. The ones complaining really need to take responsibility for their actions and stop pointing fingers at other people.

Aerotek is notorious for hiring "fresh out of college" grads who have no previous experience in recruiting. For many, it's their first job (outside of waiting tables).

If you are 30 and working at Aerotek, you are considered "old". I am not surprised to read about the negative experience you had dealing with unprofessional employees.

Aerotek recruiters are required to have a certain number of in office interviews with applicants, per week. It doesn't matter if they have a position for them or not, they have to make that interview quota.

From that face to face interview, they are required to get professional references, inclusive of names, job titles and direct phone numbers, to your past and present employers. Also, they are suppose to try and find out where you have currently been interviewing/applying. With this information, they then call these employers, not to get references on you, but rather to try to set an appointment to try to get new accounts. If they were able to find out where you are currently interviewing, they will contact those companies and try to set interviews for Aerotek applicants for the position you've interviewed/applied for!

Illegal? No.

Unethical and scummy? YOU BET!
