No wonder they fired you, based on your writing skills, I wouldn't have paid you .50 and hour, if that. I wouldn't have hired you period.

Aerotek was a great service for me when I lived in Seattle, WA. Now that I am in Ft.

Lauderdale I can't get them to call me back. I am starting to get angry because I am highly marketable, have a great resume and have been placed by them before. All that is missing is a phone call back. Very low end professionalism dealing with the Engineering side of things at their Oakland office in Ft.

Lauderdale. Pathetic so far.

Bottom Line, if you are not happy, they will NOT look for you another job, unless you quit that one first. My agent LIED to me saying he was looking, which kept me there another several months, after saying I would be hired in 3.

Do not believe what they say. Most temp agencies will look for you something else if you are not happy, and you only have to work one more day with where they sent you.

Aerotek - VERY Unprofessional for a Professional Recruiting Service

7 years ago, I applied online for a position with a call center customer service position, but it required me to apply through Aerotek which I did. Well I successfully landed that job. 5 1/2 years later when I was unceremoniously fired from that job, I contacted Aerotek foolishly thinking that lightening would strike twice. IT DIDN'T! The second time around I dealt with this 20 something year old recruiter (punk), who was very absent minded, I kept having to remind him of the contents of previous conversations! There was even one episode after not hearing from this guy for about 2 months during my lengthy unemployment phase, that he had the nerve to talk AT me, as if it was my fault that he didn't know what the *** he was doing! Don't think he didn't get told! The one job he managed to get me was with a company I had previously worked for 20 years ago. I did EVERYTHING I was supposed to do as far as submitting to a drug test, filling about what amounted to be about a stack of 5" of paperwork, going through the companies security check, even going to the company to get fingerprinted. But it was all for naught. You see, the young recruiter told me that I would be starting the week of Christmas (2010), and the assignment would run through the beginning of March. Well the Friday before I was to start, I waited all the way up until 4pm and had not heard anything about if I was to start the following Monday, the time, where, or to whom I was to report. So I called him, only to find out that of the 10 people that were to start next week, only 2 passed the security clearance, and they were waiting for the others to come through, including me. So I would be starting the week of New Year instead . . . BUT HE WOULD CALL ME . . . to confirm. Well low and behold another week passed, didn't hear from him, left messages, no return call, emailed, no return email, not even an "out of office" reply. So the Monday arrived, no call from anybody. Tuesday evening, about 4:45pm, I get a call from one of the punk's associates asking me if I had been out to the job . . . I SAID NO I HAVEN'T!!! Nobody called to confirm if I had passed the security clearance, nor to tell me where and to whom I report. She said she would make a phone call and call me back. She called me back and asked me if I could go in on WED, to which I said no, because since I never heard anything back from them, I lined up other interviews! So she half *** apologized, and said that the punk was actually gone on vacation and she was just now finding out about this. She then said she would call me back to let me know if I could start the following Monday. Guess what? SHE NEVER CALLED BACK, and AGAIN . . . my calls to HER went unanswered!!! Needless to say, the temporary opportunity went up in smoke. When the young punk got back, turns out from ITALY . . . . he called me up and had the gumption to ask me "What happened with the job at -the place-?" I TOLD HIM "YOU TELL ME!" I told him I did everything I was supposed to do and THEY/HE dropped the ball. So he tried to be somewhat apologetic and BS his way out of taking full resonsibility. Well, in the end I found 3 jobs on my own. Since I have been at my current job, I got a call from a new recruiter who said the punk is no longer with the company . . . SUPRISE SURPRISE!!! I told him that I already have a job but would be interested to pursue another opportunity if he something that was more lucrative . . . long story short . . . I AINT HEARD FROM HIM EITHER!!!! *** ON AEROTEK!!!

Aerotek - No es bueno

im going to kind of go off some little things with a couple bigger problems. when i applied for the position they did contact me the next day. i was told to come in for an interview. it wasnt so much as an interview, seeing as how to this day i have never met the guy i was supposed to interview with. they just threw me in a room with a few other people and did new hire paperwork. whatever, interviews suck anyway, right? i still found it to be unprofessional. do they seriously just hire anyone no questions asked?? after that i didnt hear from them for 2 weeks, which from talking to other people is about normal. then they wanted me to start THAT day, i agreed to start the next day. minor problem here, the address was nowhere near the zip from the job posting. when i added it up later i would have been spending about 200 a month on gas driving out there from my house. i opted to give the job a try regardless of this. the day i showed up, it all slowly started to go wrong. i met with an aerotek guy to walk me in and show me around. right off the bat they throw me into a totally different job, which was in a warehouse. when i mentioned this wasnt what i had applied for the dude simply says, oh dont worry it still pays the same! so whatever, i did it for a couple days, job sucked, hours were long. the big problem i was having is the management at this company was paying me little attention. i wasnt being trained for anything, i was just the temp. they would just send me to help one of their workers load trucks or clean all day or do busywork. not aeroteks fault exactly, i just felt like *** about the *** they got me into. by the time i started my 2nd week i knew this just wasnt working at all. at first i thought i could stick it out and get hired on, since they started their guys at 16/hr vs aeroteks 10.5/hr i got. but like i said, i was working a totally dofferent job and theres no way i wanted it as a permanent career option. i was only using aerotek and their low pay to get my foot in the door. i had started a thursday, i ended up with 20 hours that week. following week i recieve a paycheck for 16.97, payment for 1.75 hours of work. thats less than a dollar an hour and doesnt even pay for the gas i used driving out there.heres the big problem with aerotek. no one ever calls me back, i dont even know if the recruiter guy can or cares to fix it. the site they use to log hours has a tech support number listed:555-555-5555. which call me crazy but i dont think thats a real number hahaha. there is no number on the paperwork with the check either. there should be one final check coming next week, im not sure if it will be corrected on that. not expecting it since its a new pay period, or if this one will even be right itself. all thats left i suppose is to call various aerotek numbers and see if i get anywhere, p.i.t.a.!! i did get one customer service number from this site i can try however! the problem is the only log of hours is online, by me. the managers where i was working were never around when i showed up or left, so my word is the only real record of all the hours i worked. from what i have read with aerotek can be very bad news and will likely be out of luck. i would think things like this wouldnt be an issue, i thought if the company doesnt pay me aerotek doesnt get paid either, but i dont know who is the one short changing me here. i no longer have access to the hours i logged online. long story short, from my experience these guys are a joke. if i get any positve updates i will be sure to come back and share.
