***Update***

Shortly after this original post, I was emailed, called and text messaged (3 texts, to be exact, all in the span of 20 minutes) by said employee Sunday night after telling him that I was no longer waiting around for the interviewer\'s address and was, at that moment, no longer interested. Not only was his behavior excessive, but completely unprofessional.

He apologized and suggested rescheduling the interview. I did respond with an email telling him that I would be interested in a rescheduled interview for Tuesday. It is now Monday night, and nothing. Typical.

Not only is Aerotek unprofessional, unreliable and inconsiderate, but the Alameda branch seems to be receiving harsh criticism from many outside of myself. To sum up, Aerotek wasted my time and they\'ll waste yours, as well.

I was contacted by an Aerotek employee in the Alameda, CA branch earlier this week. He spoke to me about a position he said I was a "perfect fit" for.

I read over the job description and agreed. I had told him that I would be unavailable for interview the following day as I have been working part time during my job hunt. He told me that he would follow up with me regarding the interview time. This was at about noon.

I did not hear back from him until 8a.m. the next morning, telling me that the company wanted to interview later that day. I reminded him that I had told him I was working so he promised to call back with a time for Monday, which is tomorrow. Remarkably, he called back about an hour later and told me that I had been scheduled for an interview and that I would be sent an email with the location and time.

That was Friday morning, it is now Sunday afternoon and I have gotten no email. I took an entire day off of work to go to this supposed interview and it looks as if I might have just lost money at my other job for nothing.

He promises to send me that email today, but so far, nothing. Thanks for all the "help," Sam.

Monetary Loss: $70.

They actually called me and told me I had an interview and the day of the interview they called and said the company I was to interview with had some kind of emergency and would reschedule my appointment. I never heard back from them for weeks and then they called and offered another position that fired me after not even 7 days on trumped up lies and exaggerations 2 weeks before Christmas. The company never reprimanded me for anything at all, they never gave any negative feedbackso this was a complete surprise.

I was sent on an interview for a job that I clearly did not meet their qualifications. I brought that up to my recruiter ahead of time and she directed me to still go to the interview because there is a possibility that the hiring manager would see past that.

I went to the interview and from the get go got the feeling that no matter how well I did in the interview based on my qualifications I had no chance. I was right because later that day my recruiter contacted me and said I did not get the job and the feed back from the hiring manager was basically what my original concern was. I was told that I would be contacted when another position meeting my skills comes up.

I have not heard from my recruiter since and she has not returned any of my emails. Even if there is no jobs that they think I would be fit for it would be nice to be told that instead of just being ignored.

My questions might sound weird, but here it goes. I had an interview at the Aerotek office yesterday. After that, I waited in a room for all other interviews that needed to be done that day. The people that made the cut, had to fill out a bunch of paperwork, like personal info, W-4, direct deposit info, etc. Then, right from there I had to take a drug test. I was told I would be called today to be given a time to meet at the company I will be "working" for an orientation tomorrow. I still have not been told that I have the job. I ASSume, that they are waiting for drug test and background results.

Do they normally have you go through all of this process before knowing that they are going to hire you?

Once hired, do I work for Aerotek or the company I will actually be doing work for? Who will my employer be? I received papers on benefits, but it was from Aerotek. When I tried to ask questions, he just said, we will talk about all of that later...and never did.

Is there a probation period, then I will work for the company I am actually doing work for? I really need this job, but I want to know what to expect. The ad said that the starting salary was $10.00 an hour, but yesterday, she said it just changed to $11.00. Everything is sounding too good to be true and going really fast. I will say, I am the one that made follow up calls to get the interview, they did not return phone calls. I am not complaining, just throwing it out there, that if YOU want it, YOU have to go get it.

What are some good questions that I should ask tomorrow at the orientation?

I was contacted by Aerotek regarding an Accounts Payable/collections position for a company in Carlsbad, CA. I went in and was interviewd by the manager and his assistant.

Within an hour of leaving the interview, I was contacted by my recruiter at Aerotek stating I had got the position and they wanted me to start on Tuesday. On Monday night, I received another call from my recruiter stating that the manager that interviewed me had quit.Instead of starting on Tuesday,I would probably have to re-interview for the position. Needless to say, I was not happy. I did report for my first day and the manager who interviewed me was there, he did not quit!!

I call my recruiter and asked her what was going on because I was confused. She stated she had no idea what was going on. By Thursday, I had discovered that both the manager and his assistant had given their two weeks notices and no one was working with me to train me on the job. Then my recruiter calls me on Thursday evening and told me after 3 days, they decided to let me go because they needed someone who needed less direction!!

Are you kidding me!! I felt that Aerotek and my recruiter knew what was going on there and put me in a hostile environment with no chance for me to succeed.

I did get a card about a week later from my recruiter stating that she was sorry for puting me in that position, but I have to admit by that time I was too angry to accept her apology. Since then I have not return any of her calls and I will not register with them again!!

they sent me all the infomation in the e-mail, this was not in person talk, it was e-mail needed a high school diploma. did not have a high school diploma. I could not find my high school dipolma. so I call them, they said go to the high school and get the transip so I did.

the girl was very young, I had a one to one talk with her, when I was there to sign info, when I went one to one with her. she did not like my resume she said, it needed to be updated, which I did, I updated it. All she was concert about if I will have any problems going to work she mentions that to me about 3 times, like a day before and after. I told her I have a car.

she was kind of rude. Not professional at all. No smile on her face. like cold cold person.

And the most important thing was the drug test. which she did not mention to me. I went to the front desk, and sign some more papers, I recevied the papers, and that paper it was the screeing drug test, it did not said that you need to do this in 48 hours. it was holiday, weekend, and monday I was there and I was late for my drug test.

I was late like 5 mins. I could not take the test and retake it. I did call if I can retake it. She said the company will not allowed it.

I was mad because I did all that for notting. And she e-mail me that I fail the test. Boy that is ***!!! How can I fail my drug test when I did'nt had a chance to take it.

I heard a lot of bad things goes at Aerotek staffing.

when I came in to the office the people were all young. And the young lady that I had a interview with was very cold person, I will not re-applied for this temporay staffing again.
