There is a recruiter named Jordyn in the Tempe Office of Aerotek that is a complete self-serving ***! I was clinically diagnosed with a temporary condition, causing paralysis to my face. Jordyn knew of this and yet, proceeded to schedule me for an 8:30am interview this...

As Aerotek seems to only hire "fresh from college" grads for their recruiting roles, it's possible this Jordyn doesn't know what the *** she is doing. For many "recruiters", Aerotek is their first professional job and for some, it's their first job period.

The working environment at Aerotek is often described as being "a high school like mentality". Aerotek recruiters are required to meet a weekly quota in conducting face to face interviews in the office. From these interviews, they are suppose to get names, numbers and contact numbers for hiring managers you previously worked for. They will also want to know who you have interviewed with.

This is so they can contact these people and see if they can provide any staffing needs for them. In other words, you get used and your references get harassed. Read other complaints here. Many references report receiving multiple sales calls from Aerotek, after someone used them as a reference.

Make sure you leave a review on yelp (they have MANY negative ones for this office, including one specifically naming this Jordyn person). Also, go to glassdoor and leave a review of the interview you experienced or rather the interview you attempted to experience. You could even file a BBB complaint.

BTW: I found this recruiter on facebook and indeed, she looks exactly as I expected. A very young girl.

Very rude recruiters. Didn't care about employees. You need to fire Rich! Or give him some classes in empathy. But either way, they don't care about you and your pretty much replaceable in there eyes. Anyways, good luck with your customer service because it sucks.

Aerotek hires fresh from college grads with no experience in recruiting. They are required to conduct 15 face to face interviews per week, whether they have a position or not.

Beware of the recruiter pressuring you for references, as they will contact them with a sales pitch, in order to build their own clientele. You needn't take my word for it, simply hop over to the Glassdoor website and read the reviews their current and former recruiters have revealed.

It is an established fact that Aerotek recruiters are: fresh from college graduates with no experience; required to conduct a minimum of 15 interviews a week whether they have any jobs or not; required to obtain professional references from applicants so they can contact these people to try to drum up business.

Don't take my word for it!

Go to glassdoor and read the employee reviews. Many are very open and honest about how this company operates.

The scenario you described is very common with this company. I wouldn't work with or for them, for any amount of money.

I have principles. And morals.

This place is horrible! They lie about the hours, pay is late. They tell you your chec k will be there, and it isnt, and when you call them on it they tell you sorry and stop answering the phone until they are gone for the day, you cant count on any professionalism at all. They are the worst of the worst!!!

Im sorry to hear that, its crazy what pregnant women go through when we simply just want to worknto support our child. I am with aerotek and they were great with me.

They not only found me 1 job while pregnant but 2!

7 months pregnants at that.. you should file a lawsuit and or report your recruiter.

I wouldn't be scared. I'm a recruiter at aerotek and know that before we move forward with someone we look them up in our database.

In the database there are tons of notes about what you are looking for, your skills, assignments you've been on with us, and how you ended them. There was probably a DNU note in there (do not use). When we see that note we either skip the candidate or contact the recruiter who put the note in the system to find out what happened.

He is definitely not a threat to you but there's probably a note in the system that isn't good about how you ended your assignment :/ I would try just looking for work on your own. Aerotek is not the most ethical company, and I'm currently trying to find a new job.
