Do you think you are the only qualified person applying for these positions? Do you have any idea how many people who are as qualified and/or MORE qualified than you, are applying?

You are Hispanic? Congratulations. I bet you are the only Hispanic person around! .

Grow up and find your own work!

Stop depending on a staffing agency to place you.

Aerotek (and some other agencies) are notorious for using applicants' references as a sales tool. They are less interested in obtaining a reference on you and more interested in trying to gain your references as new client companies.

It is not illegal, what they are doing, but it is unethical and shady. Many people have reported they were told by their own references they could no longer use them, as they were tired of sales calls from staffing agencies like Aerotek.

Sounds like dumb & dumber playing at being recruiters! I would avoid them like they had the bubonic plague.

Employment Review

I was hired by Aerotek some years ago and I was laid off / fired for no reason from the company. They also, took most of my pay after introducing me to the hour wage I was told of. I have been out of work since and choose not to ask for their untrustworthy assistance. I'm better off researching and walking into places on my own.

Positive Experience Review

I'm currently with Aerotek in Chicago and while yes my first check was misplaced, they quickly rectified the situation and it hasn't happened since. The job placement was easy and even though I'm not with a company that I see a future in, I'm at least getting great hours an amazing pay! I do not think Aerotek is a long term goal for me but IT IS a stepping stone in the right direction!

I'm a recruiter at aerotek planning on quitting. We are required to attend a set number of lunches with our contractors each month.

I feel extremely uncomfortable going to lunch with other men as a married woman. It is very awkward, and I don't think it is right.

This is one of the reasons why I am looking for another job. I just wanted to comment to let you know that us recruiters are required to take employees out to lunch one on one :/

I interviewed with Aerotek in suburban Philadelphia (a woman named "Samantha"). She told me of a job prospect in Philly.

I interviewed with the company, tried to call her regarding the interview, and was told she was in "training" for the entire week. She called me back finally on Friday at 4:30 PM and starting telling me of another job prospect; it turned out to be the exact company and position I had just interviewed for. When I informed her of this, she became abrupt and just hung up on me.

After two weeks of waiting for her to call back, I finally called her again; she informed me that she hadn't called because I had been rude to her!!

Why am I being punished because of this woman's personal hissy fit? Is this an example of the type of career counselors employed by Aerotek?
