Aerotek listed a job that fit my resume almost perfectly. They contacted me after seeing my resume online. However I was pushed toward another job which paid much less, in a field that was completely different from my experience. AFTER interviewing with that company, Aerotek call me 30 minutes later and asked "if the company offers you a job, can I say yes to them." I hesitantly said yes, knowing I had to actually sign paperwork to make that official. That evening I went Aerotek's website and saw the other job that fit my experience almost perfectly. It paid substantially more. I asked Aerotek why they weren't suggesting that job for me. Wanting to give my current employer 2 weeks notice, I was told by Aerotek that the company I was interested in "only wants people that can start immediately." I visited that companie's website career page, and it said..."no positions available at this time." Aerotek's listing was obviously a "bait" job. I confronted their recruiter, and was told that the job was controlled by another branch of Aerotek, and they didnt have that info. (which would only require Aerotek to make a phone call to the other branch obviously.) That night I came across pissedcomsumed.com. What he was doing is exactly what I read in others posts. Thank God for this website. It saved me from leaving my current job for something lesser. Not to mention what I read here about the trouble getting paychecks. I recommend avoiding Aerotek. They do what is best for their interest, not yours. As well as listing jobs that are not real.

Aerotek has had a few lawsuits for telling an applicant they had the job and to go ahead and give their notice at their current one. Person does so, then the job through Aerotek suddenly disappears, leaving the person unemployed.

Paul @ aerotek IN Bloomington, MN blew me off about the job when I got there. I applied for an assembly job with an opening ASAP. I have 13 years in assembling. So I drive there, 30 minutes one way, mind you. I get there for a freaking 5 minute “interview “ where he asks me, “What do you know about aerotek?” Are you *** kidding me?! You’re a staffing agency. He’s all macho and indignant and proceeds to condescendingly tell me that aerotek is not a staffing agency, but a placement agency started in blah blah year. I don’t care. What about the job? Well, I’ll call you if you’re a fit. I’m beyond furious and just get up and leave. This guy is a freaking joke. Paul is his name and he works or worked out of Bloomington. I hope to hek he’s gone. Jerk!

I worked in staffing for over 15 years and if he was one of my employees, I would want to know about his unprofessionalism.

I need my employee id so that I can get my W-2 form

I have not worked with Aerotek for about a year, and so I don't remember my Employee ID nor my user ID. I need it, so I can print out my W-2 form.

Black people are having a hug time getting employed thru aerotek

they call you dont know you from a can of paint because your resume fits what they are looking for ..once speaking with you over the phone realizing your race the next day they either dont answer phone anymore are they will tell you we are interviewing someone..they send you out everything about the job wasting all your time then stop responding to you

Are you speaking for all black people? And am I to understand that a person can determine another person's race over the phone?

Isn't that a bit racist to say? Aerotek recruiters spend about 95% of their day making phone calls. In fact, they have a quota of calls they must make per day and call people they know they probably will never be able to place. I wouldn't depend on just Aerotek.

Sign up with multiple agencies; cast a wide net.

But also look for a job independently. I hope by now you have found something.

Complaint

I receive job alerts from Aerotek and do not appreciate the runaround from your local office staff when Ive responded to a job alert. When someone who is in the position of trying to help someone find a job refuses to return calls, repeated calls, that person needs to find another line of work. I'll be contacting your corporate office by phone to follow up on this email. Thank you

I would say unless you can get it in writing, avoid these people.

Worked for a manufacturing company through Aerotek. 6 month to hire contract. The company was pretty busy when I started, last month of employment things really slowed down. I missed a week do to a family member getting sick. The correct supervisors were notified. I was canned a week later with no notice or any warnings on attendance. I sat staring @ a computer screen for three weeks with no work, and the recruiter through Aerotek said the company was busy with lots of projects. All lies. Stay away from these leaches unless you can get a contract in writing. They are on the same level as used car salesman - no skills, all overhead.

They got me a job in February that ended in June of this year. Then I didn’t get anything else until last month. They told me this job would be at least six months with a possible permanent offer. I found out today I could be let go any day. I won’t survive this. Thanks Aerotek!

A temp agency parading as an executive recruiter!

Original review Oct 30, 2019
I received a call from an executive recruiter that claimed to be hiring for a well known Corp. It turned out it was the temp agency Aerotek, looking to place me as a contract employee. I didn’t find this out till I was filling out my onboarding forms after having quit my executive level job a week ago. Of course contract employees get no benefits- this too was withheld from me. Bunch of liars!

These people, will insist you come in to their office spend 2- 3 hrs filling out paper work or reading you're resume to you. Then, they will send you to jobs that either don't exist or that you are unqualified for. when you show up to an " interview" they allegedly set up, no one knows who you are, where from, or whether their hiring or not. This pretty much applies to almost all "staffing agencies"

Don’t Use This Company

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
My experience with this company was stressful, waste of time and energy and unprofessional. They messed up my paperwork and prolonged the hiring process to a month. I eventually got hired and ended up getting assigned a different shift than what they originally promised. While I was employed it was impossible to get ahold of anyone to access paystubs or get any information to change existing paperwork. Reception was just as useless as a source to get in contact with someone. I was contracted with the Bellevue, WA location. Everyone I came in contact with would just pass me down the line and I would never get answers. When I was let go from the job, it took three days for anyone from that company to contact me. Their excuses were humorous. I then waited an additional two days to hear from them regarding returning company property. I called the front desk, in the middle of a week day, no one answered the front desk phone. I contacted my recruiter and still no response. This company is a joke. Full of unprofessional, unreliable people looking to make a profit off you.

Awesome recruiting company in Spokane Valley, WA

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Within just a couple of days within receiving a phone call from an Aerotek recruiter who had seen my resume on a job board I was interviewed at their Spokane Valley, WA office. Within 2 days they had set up an interview with a local company that needed a medical leave fill-in for several weeks. The next day I interviewed with that company. I started work immediately. The entire process with the Aerotek recruiter, Madelyn, was professional, friendly and organized. I highly recommend this company if you are serious about going back to work and need immediate assistance in finding a well paying temporary or full-time temp. to hire full-time. The entire staff at the Spokane Valley office are wonderful to work with.
